Rent Bikes -  Terms and Conditions.

The bike rental is a service provided by Tribike; Sports Bikes Canarias S.L.

Sports Bike Canarias S.L. is the owner of the rental bikes and equipment object to this agreement. To ensure that the bike and equipment is used properly and to ensure that the individual user of the bike and equipment behaves responsibly,  and has the best possible experience, the renter agrees the following:

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Delivery and return:

Delivery and return hours:

  • Monday –Friday:   09.00 until 13:30 and 16.00 until 18:45
  • Saturday and Sunday:  10.00 until 14:00

On the last day of the rental, the bike should be returned before closing time of Tribike and the bike has to be checked by a mechanic.

The bike will be returned in the same conditions of use as in the delivery moment.

The loss of components and accessories, as well as damages arising ºfor improper use, should be processed in the moment of return and will be charged to the renter.

If you return the rental bike before the set time, Tribike reserves the right not to repay the rent for the remaining days.

Damage to the bike should be immediately reported to Tribike and will be repaired when possible.

2. Extension of bike rental agreement.     

For extension of the hire contract, the render needs a written permission of “Tribike”.

Unconfirmed extensions will be charged with 100% of the rental day price to the renter.

Moreover unconfirmed contracts do not have any insurance!

3. Prices:

The prices are the ones that Tribike publishes in the hiring moment.

The renter has to provide Tribike a valid ID or passport and will pay a deposit.

Deposit:

  • 250€ - Road bikes and MTB Cannondale.
  • 250€ - E-Bikes.
  • 100€ - MTB Focus and Orbea.
  • 50€ - City and Child bikes.

4. Insurances:

“Tribike” has a liability insurance which covers damage to third parties, it does NOT include damage on the bike. Just as theft or loss thereof, all costs will be for the renter.

It is the responsibility of the renter to complete any documentation for police and insurance purposes.

5. Obligations of Hirer: 

It is the hirers’ responsibility to:

  • Operate the rental bike in a manner appropriate to prevailing road and weather conditions.
  • Wear a helmet and protective clothing. (Helmet is included in the bike rental price)
  • Know the relevant rules of the road and practice cycling in a safe way.
  • The fines received during the bike hire are for the renter. It is mandatory, by law, to wear a helmet during any bike ride.
  • Any loss or damage to the bike must be reported to “Tribike”.

6. Legislation:

For the resolution of any controversy that could be arise under this contract, the Parties submit under the Spanish jurisdiction and the courts and tribunal of Arrecife.

7. Strictly prohibited:

  • Cycling outside of designated roads.
  • To put bike in contact with salt water and beach sand (Tribike will keep the deposit).
  • Bike rental to third parties.
  • Cycling risky, negligent or under the influence of substances whose effects may effect their physical or mental condition.
  • Leaving the island with the bike without permission of Tribike
  • Participate in sports races without permission of Tribike.

The hirer has read and understands all of the terms and conditions set forth above, and agrees to all terms without reservation.

¿Qué es un estudio biomecánico?
Es una intervencion en dos ámbitos: la bicicleta del ciclista y sus propios movimientos Esta intervención consta de una exploración de sus posibilidades de movimiento como ciclista y de sus forma de manifestar ese movimiento sobre la bicicleta.

¿Qué pasos llevamos a cabo?
  • Encuesta del ciclista: molestias y lesiones: determinación de sus orígenes
  • Estudio en camilla de capacidad motora del ciclista, posibles dismetrías y/o rotaciones de cadera.
  • Baricentro: ajuste gravitacional del ciclista. Retroceso y altura del sillín, altura del manillar.
  • Ajuste del interface zapatilla-cala: customización de las zapatillas con corrección de valgo y varo, dismetrías y ajuste de calas.
  • Informe digital y vídeo comparativo de la prueba


El estudio consta de una sesión de unos 90′ y después, como todo proceso de cambio, se realiza un seguimiento en el que ayudaremos a entender las nuevas sensaciones que percibirá el ciclista (músculos que se cargan porque hasta entonces no habían trabajado, sensaciones extrañas en las zapatillas, adaptación a un pedaleo más redondo y eficaz…) y, en caso de que sea necesario, hacer las correcciones oportunas.
